Functional Assessments

Expert Treatment
Functional assessments refer to the evaluation of a person’s ability to perform daily activities, work-related tasks, or sports through real movements and functional tasks, rather than focusing solely on structural findings or pain itself.
In simple terms, functional assessments look at whether you can do the task, how you do it, how long you can sustain it, and how stable and controlled your movement is.
They do not rely only on: Imaging findings, Pain intensity, and Range of motion.
